How You Can Help
Your donation can mean the difference between life and death for youth, young adults and area residents using our local parks and fields.
Funding supports the JLS Teen Heart Foundation’s initiative to create heart-safe communities by equipping outdoor recreation areas with automated external defibrillators (AEDs) to help prevent sudden cardiac arrest from taking another life like Jenny’s.
It costs our foundation about $5,000 to place one AED. 100% of funding we receive underwrites:
- The device purchase and special outdoor cabinet with heating and alarm systems
- Publicizing where the AEDs are in each community
- Raising awareness about SCA in youth and the importance of AEDs and CPR to save lives
- Providing training and an Emergency Response Plan so the organization will be prepared in case of an emergency
Proceeds from our annual fundraisers directly support the placement of new AEDs each year. Donations can be made throughout the year to the Jennifer Lynn Snyder Teen Heart Foundation, or we invite you to sponsor and attend upcoming special events!
